Every level of the network, under one contractor.
From 33kV feeders down to the customer’s meter, plus solar and wind where the grid needs backing up. Each service links to sites where we have done the work.
Lines and dedicated feeders
We build new overhead lines and dedicated feeders, and bring tired ones back into service. Industrial sites get their own supply; utilities get feeders that stay up.
33kV · 11kV
- Dedicated 33kV feeders for industrial and commercial sites
- 33kV and 11kV overhead line construction, by the span or the kilometre
- 33kV bus sections, isolators and gang-operated isolators
- Line rehabilitation and right-of-way vegetation control
- H-poles, uprisers, D-fuses and lightning arresters
Injection substations and HVDS
We rehabilitate and extend injection substations while they carry load: switchboards, breakers, transformer auxiliaries, control rooms and the yard around them. We also deliver High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) projects.
33/11kV
- 11kV indoor breaker panels serviced, terminated or added as new outgoing feeders
- 33kV outdoor breakers: mechanism servicing and rehabilitation
- Transformer connections, tap-changer control panels and tripping units
- Control room re-roofing, renovation and complete re-wiring
- Switchyard civil works: clearing, gravelling, kerbs, gates and access
Distribution transformers
We supply and install distribution transformers, from a 100kVA pole-mounted unit to a pair of 1.6MVA ground-mounted transformers with their own switch room, and get them tested for energisation.
11/0.415kV · 33/0.415kV
- Transformers from 100kVA to 1.6MVA, pole-mounted or on plinth
- Relief substations to take load off overloaded networks
- 33kV switch rooms with incoming and outgoing breaker panels
- Ring main units (RMUs) and feeder pillars, new or serviced
- Fencing, danger signage and NEMSA testing before energisation
Metering, losses and energy management
Our metering team installs and configures meters for large consumers, and we help utilities and businesses find and cut losses.
0.415kV
- Maximum-demand (MD) meter installation and configuration
- ATC&C (aggregate technical, commercial and collection) loss reduction projects
- Energy evaluation and audits
- Energy management for commercial and industrial sites
Where we have done it
Solar and wind
Our solar and wind team designs and installs backup and standalone systems, sized against your load and how long you need to run without the grid.
Off-grid
- Solar power backup systems
- On-grid (grid-tied) solar systems
- Off-grid solar systems
- Wind turbines
Send us your daily load, critical circuits and hours of autonomy, and we will size a system.
How we deliver
Take us on as the main contractor, as the team that keeps your assets running, or as a partner from the start of a project.
Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC)
One contract from design to energisation: we engineer the scheme, procure the equipment, build it and hand it over tested.
Operations and maintenance (O&M)
Planned and corrective maintenance for substations, lines and transformers, led by a Managing Partner who ran operations and maintenance at PHCN.
Project development
Taking a power project from idea to a buildable, fundable scheme: scoping, studies and preparation.
Energy evaluation
Assessing how a site or network uses and loses energy, as the basis for loss reduction or new supply.
From survey to energisation
- 1. Site survey
We walk the route, the substation or the site, and take the load.
- 2. Design
Scheme, ratings, protection and bill of materials.
- 3. Procurement
Transformers, switchgear, cable, poles and fittings sourced to the design.
- 4. Construction
Lines, substations and civil works built by our supervised crews.
- 5. Testing
Testing and inspection, including NEMSA, before energisation.
- 6. Handover and O&M
Energised, documented and, where agreed, maintained.
